EP03 [EN] - Irish Bassist Jason Boland On The Story Behind Kodaline's Name, A Music Trajectory Recap And How To "Propose" In Front Of Eighty Thousand People If You Are Shy And Chill Like Him
Jason Boland is a Sound Engineer, the Bassist of the Irish Indie-Rock Band Kodaline and a musicians of many talents. But, judging by the Internet he is even more famous for how  he proposed to his now wife.    In this episode we talked about the creative process of a musician, what it's like to be on tour and we even did a recap of the band's trajectory so far.  Of course, I did test him with Guess The Meaning Of The Phrase In Spanish where by the way, he did not does very well but, it is so much fun to listen to.  Did you know?  I had the opportunity to meet Jason for first time few years ago through IgersDublin, an Instagram Photography Community of which I am the Community Manager. Thanks to Jason, I was able to collaborate with Kodaline during one of the band's concerts in Dublin, giving the opportunity to Content Creators interested in Music Photography to photograph them on stage while performing live.  This is a very special episode for me because, Kodaline is my favorite Irish band.  Check Jason's profile on Instagram www.instagram.com/jaykodaline or find him as @jaykodaline Check Kodaline's profile on Instagram www.instagram.com/kodaline Check "I have an accent" Podcast on Instagram www.instagram.com/ihaveanaccentpodcast or find me as @ihaveanaccentpodcast Enjoying my content so far? EP02 [EN] - The Positivism Of Irish Dj And Radio Host Marty Guilfoyle Between "Negocios" And The Meaning Of "Te Tengo Queso" In Venezuelan Slang
Marty Guilfoyle is an Irish DJ and Radio Presenter from Dublin who currently hosts a show on the most popular youth station in Ireland, SPIN 1038.  When he is not on the radio, he spends his time on the road playing in clubs and festivals all over Ireland.   Outside of Ireland Marty has also travelled to the likes of China, Croatia and Spain to play venues such as Pacha and one of the biggest dance festivals in the world, Ultra.  Along with DJ-ing, Marty is a fitness enthusiast and tries to keep in as good shape as possible while being on the road.   Since he can speak a little bit of Spanish, I took advantage of that to challenge him to discover the meaning of some phrases with pure Venezuelan slang.  From “Negocios” to “Queso” y sin “Bajarle Dos” this is an epic episode you can’t miss out! Subscribe to my exclusive content here: IHAA Exclusive Content --------------------------------------------------------- For all of you listening to this Episode: Thanks so much for the support and for listening to my podcast, it means a lot. Back in January, when this interview was recorded, I was really scared and almost "tirando la toalla" on what it was my definition of this project "embrace my accent and my English" until I remembered that it was about that, to embrace it. On this interview, I was very nervous of course, my very first one ever in English to be recorded.  I can promise my English is much better in person, not a lie. When I had to listen it for post-production I was like "OMG is not just my accent but, my bad pronunciation. How could I possible forget that word or to use that word in present when I should have used it in past? I sound smarter in Spanish", it happens. It happens to all of us, who don't have English as a first language and you know what? I'm here, publishing this interview without being afraid of the criticism because, at least I'm doing what I want, I believe on this project and that interview after interview it will get much better. I've said to myself so many things that, what others think about me it will not hurt me at all. I have left a comment box just below, I would love to read your feedback and what did you think about this episode.   “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” ― Nelson Mandela Hope you enjoy it as I did so, listen up! Besos, Sofia
