In this episode, I talk to Dr. Md Rehan who is a cardio thorasic surgeon, an international level rower and a performance coach who started a nutrition brand with the goal of providing clean and healthy performance enhancing suppliments for athletes. Getting to sit down with such a versatile person, I did all I could to get as much value out of the conversation as possible. I've broken down our conversation into two parts. In the previous episode I have shared his insights into the nutrition side of things we talked about the importance of nutrition for general wellbeing and performance. If you haven't already listened to it, I highly recoomend you do that. In this episode we talked about the alarming trend of cardiac related fatalities in the athletic community and what precautions we can take to screen, detect and take necessary corrective actions for cardiac issues. He shares what tests tell us what, what is cardiac arrest, what is a heart attack, what is artireal calcification, what we need to do if we detect that in us etc. It was a really insightful conversation from an expert with vast experience in the field.

Who is a working athlete? Someone working fulltime/part-time, entrepreneur or anyone who has to work to make ends meet and doesn't let being busy to stop him/her from pursuing an active lifestyle is a working athlete. I consider stay at home moms/dads who pursue a sport, as working athletes because homemaking is a full-time job.
