This review summarizes the possible relationship between Fibromyalgia (FM) and nutrition. It explores the available evidence of dietary supplements and dietary interventions and its effect on FM symptoms. The available studies show that the role of dietary supplements remains controversial. However, clinical trails with Vitamin D, magnesium, and probiotic supplementation show promising results. Dietary intervention studies were reviewed as well. These studies include administration of olive oil, the replacement diet with ancient grains, low - calorie diets, the low FODMAPs diet, the gluten-free diet, the monosodium glutamate and aspartame-free diet, vegetarian diets as well as the Mediterranean diet.
