"Catch and kill”: The first U.S. president to face criminal charges

Donald Trump has officially become the first current or former President to face criminal charges.

He faces 34 counts of falsifying business records, allegedly covering up a hush money payment as an election expense.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, called it a “catch and kill” scheme, while Trump calls the charges against him “massive election interference”.
