Then, the plaintiff rented an apartment to the defendant. She says the defendant moved out in the middle of the night without telling her and therefore broke the lease. The plaintiff says he stopped paying rent and even left a rifle under the bed. She’s suing for two months of rent. The defendant argues the plaintiff did not have any respect for his privacy and doesn’t owe her anything. He’s countersuing for a refund on rent.
