Christmas Mountain. Many people grow up believing that they live on the pinnacle of the mountain. It all seems right and comforting until you realize that the mountain is higher than you thought and many other people claim to also live on the pinnacle. Frantically, you question and search for the real truth but you soon realize it's almost impossible to be found, maybe it doesn't exist. So what do we do with the mountain? All the work around the bases doesn't count if you don't come back and touch home. In our spiritual life, we have to keep coming back to the main thing and pass the gospel on to others (like us!) that need it!

God no longer dwells in buildings like the temple. Jesus demonstrated how the presence of God now shows up in people's lives. God sits with us at the dinner table. He travels with us along the road. Now the Holy Spirit empowers every follower of Jesus to bring the presence of God into every space.

It seems strange to define conditions for something that by definition comes when you don't deserve it. Grace comes apart from anything that we do to deserve it. But in the Jesus Kingdom, those who have received grace live like it. It's a strange and exciting way to live.
