The idea of book bans in America is largely a misconception. While its true that some books have been challenged or removed from certain libraries or schools, this is not the same as a nationwide ban. A challenge is an attempt to remove or restrict materials based upon the objections of a person or group. A banning is the removal of those materials. Challenges do not simply involve a person expressing a point of view; rather, they are an attempt to remove material from the curriculum or library, thereby restricting the access of others. What some states and school districts are doing is restrict access of sexually explicit material to under aged children. One of the reasons why parents send their children to government school (AKA Public School) is because they want them to be salt and light to their unbelieving friends in school. Not only is this an undue burden on very young and untrained minds but it is not even biblical. In this episode i interact with a paper I found at the Nehemiah Institute website (Nehemiahinstitute.com) titled "Just What is the Salt-and-Light Argument?" written by Jay Jusino. In it the author says "Separation from the essence and practice of the world is not possible for Christian children in public schools because that system exists as a fundamental building process that literally shapes a child’s very being. According to an article in The Atlantic "Three years ago, while the nation’s attention was on the 2020 presidential election, voters in Oregon took a dramatic step back from America’s long-running War on Drugs. By a 17-point margin, Oregonians approved Ballot Measure 110, which eliminated criminal penalties for possessing small amounts of any drug, including cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine." The American Church must come to the conclusion that we have been bamboozled by the progressives over a hundred years ago. In this episode, I discuss the fact that while Christians sleep, progressive secular humanists know exactly what they are doing. Their goal is to change society and they planning on doing it through the children. Nelson Mandela is believed to have said that "Education is a powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". What a statement! This is obviously a neutral statement which means that Education is a weapon that can be used to change the world for better or worse. In other words, education is a vehicle that takes the students in the direction of the educator. Jesus said "The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher."  Over a Hundred years ago Secular Progressive Humanist understood very well that if they wanted to change the world, they would have to take over education. They managed to convince Christians that it was possible to create a neutral environment where the religious and non-religious could learn together. As a result Christians forfeited their God given assignement to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Christians were tricked into believing that formal education and spiritual discipleship were to separate projects. According to Prager U, the NEA is "The Biggest Bully in School" (https://youtu.be/oPAI7Oo1jFI). They obviously run like a mob as they should if they are going to protect their interests. In fact, in the video from Prager U, one of the Top Lawyers for the NEA is on record saying that "it is not because we care about children, and it not because we have a vision for a great public school for every child. The NEA is an arm of the progressive and increasingly radical left in American Politics. Their goal is to turn our kids into leftist activists. According to influencewatch.org, "The National Education Association (NEA) is America’s largest labor union representing nearly three million employees, principally teachers. With affiliates in every state across 14,000 communities , NEA represents teachers, education support professionals, retired teachers, education faculty and staff, substitute teachers, and administrators. It exercises enormous political clout in everything from contract negotiations to issue advocacy and lobbying." In other words the NEA controls the public school system. If you want to fight for reform, you have to go through the NEA and its affiliates.  Influencewatch.org also says that "The NEA is a major political player, with its associated political action committees contributing nearly $143.5 million to federal candidates and committees—97% of which supported Democrats and liberals—from 1990 through February 2019.  The NEA is also deeply entangled in state and local politics and is a major contributor to left-of-center nonprofit organizations." Meaning that the NEA is an extention of the Democratic Party. At best the NEA represents half the country in regards to its politics. The NEA is pro leftist politics which means that they promote left wing propaganda in the public schools. Their vision for the next generation clearly conflicts with that of the Christian Church. We simply cannot continue to out source the education of our children to such an environment.  Our only recourse is to establish alternative solutions for the church. The church must resume responsibility and each church must provide alternative options to the families in its community. This is how we take back the culture. This is the first part in a series of installments making the case that the time has come for the Christian Church to place the necesary attention on K-12 education.  It is the church cannot contnue to out source education to a secular humanistic elites who's ultimate desire is to create a population of obedient soldiers in their planned revolution.
