Greetings, and welcome back to the podcast.This episode we are joined by Mr. Ian Dundas - Board Member & advisor to the Chief Executive Officer of Chord Energy - a Houston based energy company listed on New York Stock Exchange, with a market cap of ~$8 billion. Mr. Dundas previously served as a Director and President & Chief Executive Officer of Enerplus Corporation until its combination with Chord Energy in May 2024.Mr. Dundas joined Enerplus in 2002 as Vice-President of Business Development, responsible for corporate acquisition and divestment strategies. In 2011, Mr. Dundas was appointed Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, where he oversaw the development and execution of Enerplus’ operational strategies, strategic planning, marketing and reserves, as well as acquisitions and divestments. Prior to joining Enerplus, Mr. Dundas held several executive positions in the merchant banking business, where he helped oil and gas companies grow by accessing the funding and expertise they required.Mr. Dundas has been an active volunteer in numerous charitable endeavors and was Co-chair of the Calgary YMCA Power of Potential campaign. Mr. Dundas holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Laws (Distinction) from the University of Alberta. Greetings & welcome back to the podcast. This episode we are joined by Mr. Scott Saxberg - President and Chief Executive Officer of Cache Island Corp., a private energy company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Before founding Cache Island, Scott was a Co-Founder of Crescent Point Energy and was President and CEO of the company from 2003 to 2018. Under his direction, Crescent Point grew from 275 boe/day in 2001 to 180,000 boe/day by 2018. Through Scott’s tenure, the company distributed over $7.5 billion in dividends and reached a market capitalization of more than $18 billion.In addition, Scott runs his family office, Icebook Investments Corp., that focuses on direct investments in early stage startups.
