Fun Fables - Bedtime Stories With A Twist is a delightful kids' podcast. It offers alternative versions of classics like "Jack and the Beanstalk" and "Winnie the Pooh." The short stories in each episode take only five to ten minutes. Kids may enjoy one or several with breakfast or a quick car ride.
Josh Newth started recording stories when his daughter Tess wanted to hear tales on tape. She loved "The Three Little Pigs," so he made up more adventures for them. When Josh's son Olly was born, he named their story collection Fun Fables. Then, in 2020, he decided to share them in podcast format. Josh's creative style and production attract more listeners each week.
Kids hear about a living cookie in podcast episode "The Gingerbread Man." Can he escape everyone, or will someone eat the sweet and spicy man up? Almost everyone knows the story of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears." What new twist does the podcast imagine? The music invites listeners into the home of the happy bears. Mama Bear shares her porridge recipe. In hilarious voices, the bears set off to find the Gingerbread Man. That's when Goldilocks smells the porridge and can't resist. "Holly jumping jackrabbit!" she exclaims. What do the bears do when they discover her in the littlest bed? Does she learn her lesson?
"The Big Bad Wolf" may change his fate in Fun Fables. Listeners must discover what trouble he gets into when Jack and Jill join him. The wolf comes on as a narrator to share his wild adventures. Jack and Jill say hello in their episode, too. Jack's head is getting better after his big fall down the hill. In another episode, the "narrator man" tries to trick him. Is he the trickiest of the tricksters, or will someone fool him this time?
From "Peter Rabbit" to "The Princess and the Pea," Fun Fables - Bedtime Stories With A Twist offers many kids' favorite characters and tales. The imaginary elements the narrator adds to his short stories may excite listeners. They can hear a new adventure each week.
