Hamish & Andy is a podcast filled with hilarious contemplations that most people never consider. Hosts Hamish Blake and Andy Lee have been a comedy duo since 2003. In 2017, they concluded their Australian radio program and reimagined it as a podcast. It became the country's top comedy.

The podcast includes their signature banter with the audience. Their frequent comedy collaborator, Jack Post, is a cohost. He rings a bell when it's time for the next segment. Sometimes, it requires a few rings to keep the comedians on track.

Podcast listeners write into the show, and Andy and Hamish will then call them. They joke that they're telemarketers who want to interact with their audience. In the first episode, the hosts seek a listener who can create a poignant opening line for the podcast. Listeners submit reasons why Hamish & Andy should choose them. One man says he's so good with words that he registered his children's middle names as "Hercules" and "Lion" without his wife's consent. Once she found out, he convinced her to keep them.

In another episode, the hosts buy each other Christmas gifts they know they'll hate. Andy gives Jack a giant Toblerone bar since Jack says the sharp corners of that are "candy terrifying." Hamish gifts Andy a vape-o-gram, where someone walks in and vapes in Andy's face. Loyal listeners will understand why. Jack gives Hamish an enlarged photo of his dog's excrement in the yard. He laughs when admitting that one of Hamish's employees framed it. So, Hamish paid for his own disgusting gift.

The hosts say listeners accuse them of flatulence during their shows. Andy and Hamish play clips of each alleged instance to decide whether it happened and who did it. In one hysterical clip, they realize they might all be the culprits.

Andy and Hamish enjoy a childish prank. But these are intelligent comics. The two are award-winning actors as well. In addition, Andy hosts The Cube, a popular game show. The hosts are also bestselling authors.

New Hamish & Andy podcast episodes air Thursdays, except from December to March. They call this their "government-mandated break."
